Oxford filmfest to screen ‘She Who Wasn’t Tamed’

Iranian short ‘She Who Wasn’t Tamed’ has been set to attend the Oxford Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Saleh Kashefi, the 16-minute flick will be in competition at the 17th edition of the US event.

“Hanieh is a high school student who tries her best to win the poem recitation competition to make her teacher and family happy”, reads a brief synopsis for the flick.

The 16th edition of the Nahal International Student Short Film Festival in Iran has been the event where the film was premiered. Since then, ‘She Who Wasn’t Tamed’ has attended a number of film festivals around the world, including the 42nd Piotiers Film Festival in France.

Paniz Esmaeeli and Anita Baqeri are the main cast members of the flick.

According to the official website of the Oxford Film Festival, the event “celebrates the art of independent cinema”.

The latest edition of the event is slated for March 18-22, 2020.
